There is a big area of Natural reserved forest at Kaburu Mountain at which beneath there is a big reserve of coal mine at Kiwira which is being mined by Kiwira coal Mine Company. These mining are the good source of electricity and the government of Tanzania and China have sign a contract to produce electricity through these mining.

 

 

Miombo woodland forests which favour nursing of bee colonies are found in some areas of Ileje District. However beekeeping is still carried in small scale in different areas were people process honeys for retailing business in the market. We believe this is another area that can be developed in the District.

Another area which attracts investment is fish farming. If goats and sheep are kept by farmers their drops will be used to feed fish and in return the sale of fish could add income to farmers. 

 

There is a vast area of which if planted trees can flourish very well. Already there are few areas which trees have been planted and they are doing pretty well. We therefore encourage investors who are interested to come and invest in tree planting. 

Ileje District is also endowed with vast bamboo trees which is currently used for fencing at household level but can also be used to produce marketable products such as table mats, coffee table, winnowers and trays. This is an area where local producers can earn their income if they are equipped with entrepreneurship skills and capital.
