Economic Infrastructure: Situation Roads Ileje District has roads of total 477 kilometres of which 5.9 is tarmac, 293.1 gravel and 178 earth roads. Mass Communication Ileje doesn’t have its own Communication media but it is served through television receivers from ITV, Star TV, TBC, EATV, TBC radio, Radio Free Africa and Radio One Stereo. Telecommunications Telecommunication system in Ileje District is well organized, since it is served with almost all telecommunication service providers, they include ZAIN, VODACOM, ZANTEL, TIGO and TTCL. Postal Services Postal services are available in the District. There are two postal services in Ileje, Itumba (District Headquarter) and Kafule 60 kilometres from District headquarter). Services are available during working days i.e. Monday to Saturday. Financial Institutions Ileje is served by National Microfinance Bank (NMB). Services are available during working days i.e. Monday to Friday (full day) and Saturday (half day). Automated teller services are available 24 hours, seven days a week. Fax and Internet Services These services are not adequate, but we believe in the near future these services will be improved. Currently internet services are mostly obtained from Government, Non- Government Offices and Parastatal organizations and very minimal from Private. Investment opportunities in Infrastructure
